Direction, ambition & what drives me

Beyond what I do today as an automation engineer, I'm deliberately building toward a direction that goes beyond standard software development. Here's where I'm headed, what drives me, and how that connects to what I'm already building today.

Where I'm headed

The broad lines of what I want to achieve long-term:

  • Growing from automation engineer / software developer into a data scientist
  • Pursuing a part-time Master's in Applied Data Science at Hogeschool Utrecht
  • Working in depth with AI, deep learning, PyTorch, and models that genuinely analyze or predict

Ultimate ambition

  • Genetics and DNA analysis
  • Recognizing diseases through data
  • Health and medical AI

What fits well with that

Beyond theoretical interest, I'm strong at bringing structure, automating, making systems smarter, and making data practically useful. That connects well with:

Machine learning engineeringApplied AIBiomedical AIHealth tech / data science

Long term

Becoming a technically strong AI/data specialist working on meaningful applications, with a focus on health, genetics, and data-driven decision-making.

My path today

My current path fits well with that:

  • Automation → strong engineering foundation
  • Data science master's → theoretical foundation
  • AI interest → specialization
  • Curiosity → massively speeds up learning

I'm not satisfied with “standard software development” alone. I'm looking for work with more impact, intelligence, and depth, and combine that with my strengths in bringing structure, automating, making systems smarter, and making data practically useful.
